Laura Capindale
With over a decade of experience in Human Resources across both private and public sector organisations - and senior leadership roles in Local Government before that - I’ve seen first-hand what makes businesses thrive: great people, strong leadership, and a culture that supports growth.
Alongside my HR work, I’ve also been a lecturer, teaching HR Apprentices and Level 3 & 5 CIPD students. I love sharing my knowledge and helping to shape the next generation of HR professionals.

Coming from a family of business owners, I know the challenges (and joys!) of running a company, which is why I’m passionate about helping local businesses build strong, happy workplaces.
That’s why I founded The HR Crowd—bringing together like-minded HR professionals to deliver practical, commercially focused HR solutions that work for small businesses and their people.

I hold a Level 7 (PGDip) in Human Resource Management, a Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, and an Award in Education and Training. I'm also a qualified NLP Practitioner, and an mBIT (Multiple Brain Integration Techniques) Coach, bringing a unique, coaching-led approach to HR and leadership development.
When I’m not working or parenting, you’ll find me on the tennis court or out exploring with my husband, son, and our whirlwind of a Springador, Dexter.
The HR Crowd was founded in 2020 by Laura Capindale as a way to support small businesses through the challenges of the COVID-19 lockdown. What started as a Facebook community quickly grew into a dedicated HR consultancy, helping SMEs navigate the complexities of managing people and staying compliant.

Recognising that many small businesses struggle to access or afford high-quality HR support, Laura built a trusted network of experienced HR professionals who share her passion for making HR simple, effective, and commercially focused.
